The Foundation

My foundation is called StoriesofFaith.net Foundation. Since my stories are about faith in a Higher Power, ALL OF THE PROCEEDS NET OF COSTS FROM SALE OF THE BOOK WILL BE GIVEN DIRECTLY TO CHARITIES SERVING SOCIAL NEEDS I HAVE CHOSEN.

The five to which the StoriesofFaith.net Foundation will donate are. All are 501-3c organizations.

Lincoln Park Community Shelter – a Chicago overnight shelter for homeless men and woman that has been delivering food, shelter, and services to help guests re-enter society with jobs and their own places to live for more than twenty five years. My family’s  church helped found it many years ago, but today LPCS is a stand-alone agency with its own board of directors and staff.

A Just Harvest – another Chicago organization that prepares and serves meals to hungry individuals and families 365 days a year.

UCAN – one of Chicago’s largest social service agencies providing residence, meals, and education for children who have a history of family abuse. It works mostly with kids who are wards of the State of Illinois, due to the seriousness of the family’s problems.

Appalachia Service Project (ASP) – HQ in Lexington, KY – helping people through self-help for decades in the Appalachian states of Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia, particularly by repairing homes.

This list is subjective change by me without prior notice. However, any deletions and/or additions will be described on this website and on the Foundation description page.

The Foundation also was Sherri Lasko’s idea. She had created one to donate to several charities the proceeds from sale of a book of her photos that she published the same way. You can see some of her photos at www.sherrilaskophotography.com.
